Peck Road Cleanups

PAS has adopted Peck Road Water Conservation Park, a treasured local birding spot, for regular cleanups. The NE end of the reservoir, where Least Bell’s Vireos and other birds of interest have been seen, receives periodic influxes of trash after storms that must be regularly removed for the safety of the birds and other wildlife.

Kick off the morning at 8 AM with a bird walk! Appropriate for all levels, Peck Park is a great place to see a wide variety of species in a short period of time. If you’re only coming for the cleanup, please meet at the picnic tables by the bathroom at the entrance at 9:45 AM. And everyone is invited to stay afterwards and enjoy a pizza picnic, provided by PAS. Participants under the age of 18 are welcome with a parent or guardian and signed waiver.

Wear clothes you are ok getting dirty, sturdy shoes and bring a reusable water bottle and sunscreen. All other supplies will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own gloves if you wish.
