Pasadena Audubon Society
New Chapter-Only Membership
At the November 2002 meeting, the membership of Pasadena Audubon Society (PAS) approved a new chapter only membership. This means that you can now choose to be solely a member of Pasadena Audubon Society for a minimum of $20.00 per year. As an incentive this year, for $35 you will also receive a PAS Tee shirt and pin with your PAS membership (to be picked up at a monthly meeting). In addition, you can continue to renew with National Audubon Society (NAS) for the standard $35.00 per year. And, of course, you may belong to both Pasadena Audubon and National Audubon Societies. Why be a member of Pasadena Audubon Society? Under the current NAS dues system, Pasadena Audubon Society does not receive any of the $35.00 renewal you pay to NAS. When you join Pasadena Audubon Society, your membership dues are devoted 100% to PAS: supporting local issues important to you, programs at our general meetings, field trips, education and conservation programs, the Parrot Project, the PAS website and, of course, The Wrentit. Also, as a member of PAS, your name will still be counted by National Audubon Society to add your support on national issues.
If you decide to become a Pasadena Audubon Society chapter member, please fill out the enrollment form, enclose a check made out to "Pasadena Audubon Society" and mail it to: Pasadena Audubon Society, 1750 N. Altadena Drive, Pasadena, CA 91107.
