Sunday, April 19th, 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM
Trip leader: Jieyu Zheng
Turns out there is a major campus event on Saturday the 11th, large crowds expected, which would not be conducive to a bird walk.
Join Pasadena Audubon Society for a bird walk on the beautiful campus of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Led by current PhD student Jieyu Zheng, this walk will explore the surprisingly rich wildlife community found in the heart of Pasadena. We’ll look for resident species such as Acorn Woodpeckers, Black Phoebes, and Dark-eyed Juncos, as well as migrating songbirds that may be resting and re-fueling in the campus’s diverse trees, exotic shrubs, and open lawns.
TRIP LIMIT: 30 people. Participants will be chosen by lottery.
