Since moving to LA a couple years ago, Mayra has become fascinated discovering the city’s wildlife and beautiful birds. This past year, she has volunteered with the Bird Science Program, and has translated the PAS Birding Guide into Spanish. Mayra holds a Ph.D. in Geography from UC Davis. Her work relates to the study of environmental matters through social justice and equity. She is interested in spreading the love for birds across our many communities!
